Richard Nelson
Richard is a director, having been a partner in Nicholson Portnell and its predecessor firm Portnell Ward & Rose since 1986, having trained with the former.
Having practised in Hexham for over 30 years, Richard has experience in almost all areas of general practice but now focuses on property and employment law.
Richard has been an accredited member of the Conveyancing Quality Scheme since its inception in 2011.
Richard’s Employment Law caseload is concentrated on non-contentious work, including:
- drafting contracts of employment
- negotiating and drafting compromise agreements
Away from work, Richard is a keen though untalented golfer, obsessive about quizzes, and a member of Hexham Rotary Club.
